We meet new people everyday…some old, some young. Some stay in our lives for ever, some are just forgotten in the passing. Yet some remain as forms in a photograph… with nothing to remember them by other than 2 megabyte of memory on our hard disk. This is one such memory of mine – a brother-sister pair I came across as part of some studies on low income housing, near Ambattur in Chennai. I remember nothing about them except that, on seeing me click some photographs, they were more than willing to clamber about for my pleasure – making faces, grinning, just being generally curious about everything as all kids are… just generally in love with the world.
And today all I have left of that time is a photograph, whose ‘properties’ reveal that it was clicked 30 Jan 09 around 12.55 in the afternoon.
